This article will show you how to use ChannelUnity to download a copy of your currently active eBay listings from your connected eBay account.
This article comes in two parts. The first will show you how to export your active listings in eBay into a CSV file, and the second will show you how to import the file that is generated into your Bigcommerce account.
Download your currently active eBay listings into a CSV file
To start, you will need to be logged in to your ChannelUnity account. From here you will need to click on the "Listings" menu.
You will need to make sure that you have the correct eBay channel selected in ChannelUnity. You can do this by clicking on the list of marketplaces on the top right hand side of the screen and then clicking on the correct eBay channel.
You will then need to click on "Channel Settings" on the left hand menu.
Here you will see our various Channel Settings tools. Scroll to the bottom of this page and click on the option, "Download Existing eBay Listings".
Clicking the "Download Listings" button will initiate the download process. Please wait a short while whilst this process runs through. Please do not navigate away from this screen while this process runs.
Once this process has run, click the link labelled "Click here to download your CSV file" and the file will save to your usual downloads folder on your computer.
Import products into Bigcommerce from your CSV file
You will now have a CSV file which contains your eBay products. This is in a format that Bigcommerce will accept as an input.
For this part of the process, you will need to be logged into your Bigcommerce account.
First click on: Products > Import Products.
You will then need to fill out the correct settings under the Import Details. The image below reflects the details we reccomend you use.
Then under the File Details section, please select: "Choose File". You will be prompted to select the CSV file from your computer that we have previously saved in the initial step. The other settings can be left as the default.
Click the blue "Next" button.
You will now need to match each header with the equivalent column header from the CSV you have downloaded from ChannelUnity.
You shouldn't need to change any options, as Bigcommerce should have automatically mapped the columns for you.
However please check that the field "Product Image" is mapped to the column "Product Image File - 1".
After completing this, click "Next".
Finally, click the blue "Start Import" button to initiate the upload.
When the import has finished, you will see a successful import notification along with import details.
